2019 Australian Open quarterfinalist Tiafoe has met Roger on three occasions in singles’ event in 2017, losing them all to the Swiss maestro.
The American said, “Real recognises real. Roger Federer to me is the most perfect guy in the world, and I bet some people don’t like him.” Being World No. 1 for a record number of weeks itself brings all kinds of attraction. But the 8 times Wimbledon champion has always led by example for the future tennis players.
Frances added, “You can’t please everybody and you kind of move with that energy. You do things that are right and these people are doing things that are right and they can sleep well at night knowing that. Some people are going to love it, some people are going to hate it, you’ve just got to swallow it.”
Considered as the new rising star of American tennis, Frances won his only ATP title at the 2018 Delray Beach Open. Battling with his own fear on and off the court, the American draws inspiration from the 103 ATP titles winner.
