

Carlos Alcaraz, the 19-year-old Spanish tennis professional, has played splendidly since the start of the year. First, he raided the Rio Open to win his first ATP 500 title. Thereafter, he stormed the Sunshine Double and leapfrogged to the top 10 of ATP singles rankings. Currently, Alcaraz is ranked sixth and with the level of tennis he is portraying, his ranking can only move upward the list.
The young Spaniard defeated Alexander Zverev, the current World No.3 in the finals of the Madrid Open, and is aiming for his first Grand Slam trophy at the upcoming French Open. Over the past few months, his achievements have caught everyone’s attention, especially tennis coaches such as Rick Macci and Patrick Mouratoglou.

Mouratoglou Believes in Carlos Alcaraz
Patrick Mouratoglou, the French tennis coach, is known for his contribution to the game of 23-time Grand Slam champion Serena Williams. Apart from her, he has trained current World No.5 Stefanos Tsitsipas and 18-year-old rising star Coco Gauff. Hence, it won’t be wrong to say that Patrick has the skill of detecting talented players. Therefore, the players he believes in gain the trust of tennis fans and entities.
Recently, he uploaded a clip explaining how Carlos might claim this year’s French Open title.
“Carlitos is probably the most solid at the moment. He won Barcelona, He won Madrid as well as Miami a few weeks earlier. In Madrid he became the first to defeat both Nadal and Djokovic in the same clay court event.”

Patrick currently is travelling alongside Simona Halep. He partnered with the Romanian tennis ace just after the Sunshine Double for an uncertain period.
What Does Raducanu Think of Alcaraz?
Emma Raducanu, the 19-year-old British No.1 is currently going through a rough patch. She is in a constant embrace of injuries since the start of the year.

The Brit recently walked out of the Italian Open due to her pestering back injury. While speaking to the press after her match, she spoke about the fellow teenager, Alcaraz.
“What he is doing this year is incredible. He is playing so well and it is impressive. He has made physical progress over the past year and they have certainly helped him. It’s nice that at this age he is already so strong.”

Alcaraz withdrew from the Italian Open to heal his injured ankle. However, the Spaniard is one of the top contenders for the upcoming Roland Garros event and all eyes will be on him.
