‘MVP’ Jannik Sinner Lauded as Serena Williams’ Former Coach Marvels at Italy’s Davis Cup Glory

The Davis Cup finals came to a conclusion recently and Italy won the championship. This is their first Davis Cup since 1976, and their team pulled through after several years of being in the finals. Jannik Sinner helped them greatly and attained much of the limelight as the tennis world congratulated him. He was also praised by Serena Williams’ former coach, who called him highly valuable.

While a lot of the attention fell on Sinner, he did not fail to praise his teammates as he gave the speech after winning the championship. Additionally, he also shifted focus to another compatriot, who was going through a challenge.

Team Italy bulldozed all countries in their paths as they won their second Davis Cup title. They faced Australia in the final and won the title without losing a match. Sinner stepped up for his team as he sealed the victory and helped Italy overcome a significant challenge against Serbia.

Watching the Italians put on an amazing show, Rennae Stubbs, Serena Williams’ former coach, praised them congratulating the 22-year-old star, “Congrats to Italy on winning the @DavisCup!! Incredible effort from MVP @janniksinon backing up from last week to bring the cup back to Italy for the first time in decades. Massive congrats to the Aussies in making yet another final. Well done to all!

Italy won both of their singles matches, which helped them emerge victorious. Sinner even won the last set without giving any ground to his opponent, Alex De Minaur, and gave him a bagel.

Sinner praises compatriot while praying for another

While Sinner helped Italy win the cup, he was not alone. He was helped by his teammates as well. As he gave the winning speech, he did not forget to mention his older compatriot, Matteo Arnaldi. He said that even though Arnaldi was suffering from injuries throughout the year, he still stepped forward for them and launched the collective group to victory.

He then followed his speech by talking about Tathiana Garbin. She is a former Italian player who has been suffering from many health problems. Sinner said that while team Italy faced challenges, the biggest challenge would be faced by Garbin as she prepared for her second surgery.

While the tennis world praised Sinner for Italy’s win, the player showed his humble side as he talked about other stars. His humble nature will take him far in the tennis world as he looks to build a bigger fanbase.
