American tennis veteran, Andre Agassi, is largely regarded as one of the game’s greatest players of all time. The American veteran won a total of 21 tournaments during his career, including 8 Grand Slams and 17 Masters events.

However, he has never been quiet about his desire to see the next generation’s educational system blossom. In one of the most recent interviews, the 52-year-old, opened up about the stress and insecurity caused to him due to his lack of formal education.

Andre Agassi discusses the consequences of his lack of formal education

Andre Agassi was once part of a show called, The Ranveer Show. During the interview, he shared about his upbringing, tennis career, and post-retirement career. On one of the occasions, the host, Ranveer Allahbadia, asked Agassi about the latter’s investment in education. “I think I think my intensity of activity is a result of how much I empathize and connect to those children. Yes! I also believe my lack of Education was a huge part of my source of angst in my life and my lack of options. My lack of feeling self worth,” said Agassi.

He further said, “You know, that what I feel actually matters, right? So all those experiences definitely sticks gasoline on the fire that burns, you know within me to make a difference in those children and everything that I’ve gone through as a tennis player because in tennis you don’t have to be good. You just have to be better than one person.”

Agassi’s achievements throughout his stellar career

The tennis veteran held the title of best service returner in the game for the longest time. He was one of the very few players who was quite competitive against Pete Sampras, the winner of 14 Grand Slam titles.

Back In 1999, he was at the height of his popularity. The American won the French Open, and the US Open, for the first time that year, and he dominated Australia for three of the next four years. Moreover, Agassi won 60 singles titles and an Olympic gold medal before retiring.
