The former American tennis player, Sam Querrey has just pulled a Tom Brady after putting down his racket in the previous season. With his usual adroitness on the court, the 35-year-old player reached the 11th spot on the ATP rankings during his tennis journey. However, this time Querrey has got inclined towards a different racket sport.
After making his mark on the ATP Tour, Querrey has now become a pickleball player. His recent social media posts further suggest that he had been ardently following the fast-paced sport. Speaking of the same, the former world No. 11 player revealed his schedule which includes his grind for pickleball.

The fast-paced racket sport has already intrigued a number of tennis superstars including the American tennis great, John McEnroe. Joining the list of such players, Sam Querrey just came back from the retirement that he announced in the previous season. Instead of choosing his old path, he has now got inclined toward a different racket game that has taken the entire United States by storm.

The former American tennis player recently took to his Instagram to detail his new schedule which includes his pickleball matches. He added a caption, “The grind never stops,” to express his passion for the game. In the video clip, Querrey opened up about how he starts off each morning with a cup of coffee. Later, he also talked about his pickleball practice sessions.

Querrey said, “After that I had to the practice court. Honestly, I don’t know why practice by debriefing is 8.3 so it didn’t seem necessary. Here I am with three of my other pickleball players pretty much beating them on every point.”
The former world No. 11 player has been working on his speed as he doesn’t like to be labeled ‘slow’ during a pickleball match. He added, “So I figured I’d work up to speed training. I also seem professional athletes slam giant med halls. on the ground, so I figured I’d give it a try.”
Apart from this, Querrey has been reading books on the game that has recently gained popularity in the entire sporting community. He has also been keeping an eye on his opponents’ skills and moves using the highlights of their matches. While he is focusing on his game, Querrey’s wife has taken up the cooking duties. He said, “My wife’s an incredible chef.”
