The arrival of their baby boy came just two weeks after a momentous event in Nadal’s professional life: his final match with his friend and rival, Roger Federer. They teamed up as part of Team Europe at the Laver Cup in London in September 2022. The match was intense, but they didn’t come out on top. What added an extra layer of significance to this event was that it happened to be Roger Federer’s final match as a pro tennis player.

Since becoming a dad, Nadal has found a way to juggle his tennis career with his new family responsibilities. People have caught a few glimpses of his life as a parent, like when he was seen pushing a baby stroller at the airport after the Australian Open in January 2023, which he later pulled out of due to a horrible hip injury.
