Soon after he halted the match in order to request silence to concentrate and made corresponding gestures towards the crowd, the umpire handed him a warning for unsportsmanlike conduct.

Opposing the move, the 20-year-old mentioned, “Call the supervisor. You can’t give me a warning for this. I didn’t say a bad word. I went like this to tell them to be quiet (hand gesture),” insisting on his urge to make his voice heard. As the match filled with intense drama finally came to an end, it marked a disappointing moment for Rune.
