In skiing, the pressure is the most when someone is at the starting gate of the race. Similarly, there is a lot of pressure on the person in tennis who is down a match point. Only the person feeling the pressure and playing can control what happens. There is no one else on the team on whom one can rely and that is what she felt was similar in the two sports.
