Martina Navratilova responds to angry fans of Novak Djokovic
Djokovic fans tagged Navratilova criticizing her comments. A fan from Canada tagged her and wrote that he is a fan of Djokovic and belongs to Canada. Another fan tried to prove Navratilova wrong by comparing Djokovic’s Instagram followers to the population of Serbia.

This was when the 65-year-old had enough and decided to write down the exact explanation of what she was trying to say. “Do you have a hard time understanding what I said? I said that usually, Novak is the visiting team unless he plays in Serbia, meaning more people cheer for the other guy. Never said only Serbians cheer for him- that would be a stupid thing to say. Bye now,” Navratilova wrote.
Although Navratilova makes a point here; whenever a tennis player plays a tournament away from home, he/she faces competitors from all over the world and not only the host nation. However, she is fully entitled of having an opinion, and it’s sad that fans behaved that way.
