The ongoing Indian Wells tournament saw a bizarre thing yesterday as they had to suspend a match. In a rare occurrence on Thursday, Spanish tennis prodigy Carlos Alcaraz and Alexander Zverev‘s match was suspended. It was because suddenly the tournament’s stadium saw a swarm of bees taking over the Indian Wells garden. It caused a massive problem for players as well as the camera and other helping hands of the championship.
Since the news was circulated on social media, it stormed the platform. People did not expect to see such during a prestigious tournament like the BNP Paribas Open. Now the tennis fraternity and especially attendees of the match are dropping their exclusive reaction to the situation.

Recently, the official X (formerly Twitter) page of the BNP Paribas Open dropped a status, which read- “Play has been suspended due to bee invasion.” On the comment thread of the post, the tournament’s official X page also posted a clip, where fans spotted the swarm of bees making it difficult for the camera to record the ongoing match. It was also causing havoc for the spectators in the stadium.

At that moment, Spaniard Alcaraz was playing against Alexander Zverev. However, the tennis stars had to quit their game before the quarterfinals as the bees truly took over the stadium.
