However, after moving from the court, McEnroe recently made a surprising revelation about becoming a parent during his first marriage. He further revealed that it affected his tennis journey. During his illustrious tennis journey, McEnroe was involved in a romantic relationship with the American actress, Tatum O’Neal. However, during a talk show, the former American tennis player recently revealed he “was never the same player” after he became a father.

The former world No. 1 tennis player was recently featured in an interview where he talked about his failed marriage with the American actress, Tatum O’Neal. Meanwhile, John McEnroe also made a surprising revelation about becoming a father. During the interview, the American tennis legend was asked if his illustrious tennis journey was affected after he became a father.

McEnroe answered by saying, “First of all, I just gotta say Tatum was 22 when Kevin was born, my first son, so that’s a lot to ask.Yeah. I was expecting, ’cause she won an Academy Award at 10, and had been through a lot with her dad, didn’t mean automatically that she could understand what I was going through, d I thought I could have my cake and eat it too.”

McEnroe also talked about his furious rants on the court
Apart from his dominating performances, the former American tennis player was involved in a lot of outbursts on the court. However, McEnroe didn’t let his temper affect his brilliant performances during his stellar journey.
Notably, during the interview, McEnroe was asked how he managed to perform brilliantly despite his furious rants. The former tennis player answered by stating he was not quite sure how he did that. However, McEnroe added that he thought that’s what infuriated his opponents the most, on the court.
