In a fresh Twitter exchange, Kyrgios addressed an ongoing dispute of his with the tennis legend Boris Becker. Interestingly, Kyrgios aimed to cease the whole situation.

The Australian star tried to find the right balance between being himself and following the well-known traditions of tennis.

Nick Kyrgios addresses Becker beef

However, he sought to end the brewing conflict with a clarifying statement posted on Twitter. In the tweet, he emphasized that he has never sought to diminish the achievements of legends like Becker. Kyrgios never even claimed a more significant influence on the game.

In his words: “Not once have I taken ‘slams’ away from Becker, or any of these legends. Not once have I said I’ve impacted the game MORE. I’ve simply said that I’ve built my own brand and done it my way & brought fans. Apparently, a slam finalist has no credibility. Night, done with this convo.” Kyrgios took a moment to highlight his unique approach to the sport and again emphasized that he has built his own brand and brought fans to the game. The tweet implied a frustration with the perception that even after being a Grand Slam finalist his credibility is under scrutiny.
