Time flies so fast, doesn’t it? Just a few months ago, when Nick Kyrgios made an early exit from Indian Wells, his partner, Costeen Hatzi, shared a heartfelt note for him, highlighting how “proud” she was to see him overcoming all the hurdles and making a comeback at the highest level. But now there are a few rumors going around in the tennis world, surrounding their breakup. In April, Hatzi, one of the famous WAGs on the tennis tour, confirmed their breakup, saying it was important to prioritize herself and her happiness. However, reacting to the rumor of their breakup, Kyrgios then called it “Fake news.” There was already a lot of buzz and curiosity surrounding the same, and now it seems like they have finally entered a conclusion.
Nick Kyrgios and Costeen Hatzi started dating each other in December 2021. How did their relationship start? Well, Hatzi, owner of a small interior brand, Casa Amor, met Kyrgios when he arranged to buy a mirror from her. The pair fell in love at first sight and were in fact seen side-by-side for the first time during the 2022 season. Kyrgios had never won a Grand Slam singles title in his career, but he did manage to win the AO doubles title alongside his compatriot Thanasi Kokkinakis in 2022, just weeks after meeting Hatzi.
Reacting to that success, he had then said, “It’s been a very successful year, not only on the tennis court but just in general. Meeting Costeen was probably my favorite moment, probably the best thing that’s happened to me – and the year I’ve had as a highly motivated and highly pushed player has been because of her. That’s been my favourite experience.”

Even during a previous interview with ‘Daily Telegraph’, Kyrgios said, “She is the one. I am in love with her, and she is an amazing person and an amazing support for me.” Speaking about the secret behind their unique chemistry, he then revealed, “I think the best thing about my relationship is that we have really nice, really good boundaries, and we both respect them. We know that trust is really the only currency you have in a relationship. Once you break it, I think it’s really hard, especially in the limelight. Once it’s a little bit broken, it’s really too hard to fix.”
Where did it go wrong now, then in between these two? They had already unfollowed each other on social media, and neither has featured on each other’s socials for the last few months despite the fact that both have posted updates. In fact, they had also removed each other’s initials from their IG bios. A few hours ago, Costeen Hatzi celebrated her 25th birthday, and guess what? It seems Nick Kyrgios hasn’t yet wished her or participated in the celebration (publicly). Adding more fuel to their breakup rumors, they have also removed highlights of each other from their profiles.
Apart from Kyrgios removing Hatzi’s initials from his IG bio, even Costeen Hatzi herself had also shared multiple cryptic posts on TikTok in the past few weeks. In one of those posts, she captioned, “You don’t see your friend in a while and you have to update her on your chaotic life.” In that video, she appeared to mouth, “Who the f— did I marry? So at this point in time, I have filed for divorce.” Interestingly, the phrase had previously been used by internet star Reesa Teesa following her divorce.

Following that, even Nick Kyrgios shared a series of pictures on her IG stories, including one of a sports car, and he captioned that post with, “Fact of the day… don’t believe everything you read. Stay in your lane.” Just a few weeks ago, Hatzi even delivered a parting message to the tennis star. What did she say, though?

“Hope he finds peace” – Costeen Hatzi provides clarity on her relationship status with Nick Kyrgios
Last year, during an interview, Costeen Hatzi spoke about the speculations of their marriage and stated they have “definitely had conversations” on it. She also admitted, “We love each other. (But) there’s no rush. It’ll happen when it happens. Nick tells me every day that he wants a baby.” Now, after seeing the recent developments in their relationship status, fans wonder if they ended things on good terms after all these years of their fairytale love story.
Well, previously in an interview with The Herald Sun, Hatzi said, “I’m loving my work and doing content every day. We haven’t spoken; relationships come to an end. I believe it’s for the best. I hope he finds peace and happiness within himself. I definitely entered the relationship with pure intentions. I loved him and thought we had a great connection.” However, later on, she jokingly claimed that “Maybe I’ll steer away from the athletes.”
Recently, Costeen Hatzi was spotted enjoying her birthday with some of her gal pals at the trendy Tanuki Japanese restaurant in Double Bay. Both Hatzi and Kokkinakis’ ex-girlfriend Hannah Dal Sasso share a sacred bond. According to Hannah, “I went to Australian Fashion Week and spent the whole day with Costeen in Sydney. She’s doing really well, she’s thriving.“
