Now that the two great tennis players have retired, their matches have become a nostalgic throwback for tennis fans. One such match was an exhibition event where Roddick impersonated Rafael Nadal against Roger Federer. A clip from the match recently resurfaced on Reddit and it has garnered immense appreciation from fans, especially for Roddick’s sense of humor.

Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal shared one of the most legendary tennis rivalries of all time. So, it was not a shocker when Roddick won a point against the Swiss player, impersonating the 22-time Grand Slam champion.

Andy Roddick mimicked Rafael Nadal to win a point against Roger Federer

Andy Roddick is one of the most celebrated tennis players of all time. He was the last American male player to win a US Open championship in 2003. Besides that, he shared one of the greatest rivalries with Roger Federer. He met him 24 times on the opposite side of the court and only won on three occasions.

However, during an exhibition match at Madison Square between the two, a fan shouted, “VAMOS RAFA”, before Roddick’s serve. And Roddick did not hesitate in switching to Rafa mode.

Fans absolutely loved this whole setup, and they had some hilarious takes about this on Reddit.

Going through the same routine of pulling his sleeves up and doing some energetic jumps was just the teaser. The crowd went absolutely nuts over this, but the fun was not over yet.

Seeing all this one fan stated, “Entered Rafa mode. Imagine Rafa with Roddicks serve. That would be unbeatable.” Besides that, a fan commented on his preference toward Roddick over Nick Kyrgios.
