Despite a tough start where Tsitsipas managed to get the opening set to his side, De Minaur gathered the confidence to rise up and took the last two sets with a final scoreline of 1-6, 6-3, 6-3. This win not only ended De Minaur’s disappointing losing streak against Tsitsipas but also helped him secure a place in the semi-finals.
De Minaur moves ahead with his ‘very big heart’
Alex De Minaur’s victory over Stefanos Tsitsipas strengthened the commitment that he made after one of his previous victories on the same tour. The Aussie revealed his belief that his big heart is going to lead him ahead consistently, no matter what the score or situation is.

He claimed, “I’ve got a very big heart, I’ll tell you that.” Along with that, he also mentioned how the same factor helps him move ahead. “This heart is going to keep me going, no matter what the score is, where I’m at, what stage of my career I am [in]. It’s what’s gotten me to this point so far, and it’s what’s going to hopefully get me further and further, ” De Minaur added.
This confidence made fans believe that he is well prepared to face the upcoming challenges psychologically. As the tennis star is set to face the Briton Jack Draper in his upcoming semi-final match, it still remains to be seen if his big heart powers him up to move ahead.
