Roger Federer has been off the court for a while and his fans have been waiting for him to make a comeback. The Swiss player took a trip to his home country and enjoyed the beauty of Switzerland. However, Former world no. 1 Andy Roddick jokingly showed his discontent towards Federer’s hiatus and commented on his pictures on Twitter.

Roger Federer recuperating with a trip
Roger Federer took to his Twitter to share pictures of his trip to his home country. He uploaded pictures with his country’s flag and also a selfie with the frozen stuff toy of the Ice Age character Scrat, who is a squirrel and is obsessed with his acorns. He tweeted it with the caption, “Feeling like a tourist in my own country”.

The Swiss roamed around the scenic places and explored his country. Andy Roddick did not miss the chance to mock Federer. He replied to the tweet, “Roger … . . nobody in Switzerland likes you”. Andy Roddick and Roger Federer met each other 24 times. Federer and Roddick’s H2H series is in favor of Federer by the ratio of 21-3.

The anticipated comeback of the Swiss Maestro
Roger Federer went on a hiatus after he played in the quarter-finals of the Wimbledon last year. He had revealed that he had a relapse in his knee injury and had to go through a third surgery in less than two years time period. He has been focusing on recuperating and getting back on the court.

His agent hopes for his comeback in 2023. Roger also implied that the Swiss Maestro would want to add one more Wimbledon as it is the grass-court major tournament that Roger has won eight of his 20 grand slam titles.
