After establishing himself in the top 5 rankings this season, Jannik Sinner has started the Paris Masters with a bang. In the neighborhood of Bercy, the Italian tennis star recently outshined Mackenzie McDonald in the opening match. However, more than the 22-year-old player’s first-round victory, it was the extreme playing conditions that caught the attention of the tennis community.
The ATP superstars played till after midnight, with their match coming to its conclusion at around 2 a.m. Taking note of the tight schedule of the fixture, many in the tennis realm have been left infuriated. Even the Norwegian tennis star, Casper Ruud, has now come forward to lash out at the ATP authorities for their inconsiderate move.

Casper Ruud issues a candid take on the hectic scheduling at the Paris Masters
In the first-round match of the ATP Masters 1000 event, the 22-year-old recently sizzled past his American opponent, Mackenzie McDonald, 6-7, 7-4, 6-1. Now, after playing a late-night match, Jannik Sinner is scheduled to play again this afternoon as he is set up for a matchup against the Australian, Alex de Minaur.
In light of the hectic scheduling of the tournament, Casper Ruud recently took to social media to express his concerns about his Italian colleague. The current world No. 8 tweeted, “Bravo @atptour 👏👏 way to help one of the best players in the world recover and be as ready as possible when he finished his previous match at 2:37 am this morning👍👍 14,5 hours to recover.. what a joke🤦”

Apart from the Norwegian tennis star, the current world No. 4 himself has expressed his views on the brutal scheduling of the event. To be able to put in top performance, accurate recovery is more than needed. Sinner’s feelings are not misplaced at all.

After his incredible win, the Italian tennis player shed light on the tight scheduling of his first-round match. The young ATP sensation opened up about how it was quite exhausting to play on the court past midnight. Even though it was not easy for him to find his rhythm, the current world No. 4 remained determined as he prevailed in the three-set thriller in Paris. Apart from the hectic scheduling, the Italian also expressed his concerns about the harsh conditions that bothered him on the first set of his match.
