Novak Djokovic finished the 2021 season on a high note. He is the World No. 1 for a record seventh time in a row and also won three Grand Slams. Consequently, the Serbian has now tied rivals Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer in the all-time Grand Slam tally. Currently, all three players hold 20 major titles each.
Outside of the Tennis court, his charity, Novak Djokovic Foundation, dedicates itself to creating a better future for children in Serbia. Recently, Djokovic announced great news for the city of Nis in Serbia.

In particular, the foundation focuses heavily on creating and building pre-schools for Serbian children. Thus, their latest campaign is dedicated to building a preschool in Nis for a hundred children. Jelena, speaking for the Foundation, talked about the holiday season.
“(This is) the time of the year when it’s good to remind ourselves that happiness multiplies when we share it with others.” Then, she thanked everyone who helped fund and build the new preschool in Nis.

Furthermore, the 35-YO announced what she and Novak would be doing for the same campaign. “Novak and I have decided to support this campaign by matching all your donations,” Jelena shared. “This modest contribution of ours will help a hundred children gain access to preschool education and reduce the waiting list which contains more than a thousand in Nis only.”

Novak honored with Serbian Postal stamps
In recognition of his accomplishments, Djokovic’s home country, Serbia, honored him with a rare and prestigious gesture. Notably, no other athlete in Serbia has been given this honor.

The Serbian National Postal Service released a domestic and international mailing stamp with Novak Djokovic’s face and name on it. Furthermore, the authority will also be partnering with the Novak Djokovic Foundation in their mission to send every Serbian child to preschool.
