Djokovic has never won an Olympic gold, which is required to achieve the Golden Slam feat. As he will now be vying for the Golden Slam in this new tennis season, the Serb recently got real about his chances of winning the Olympic medal with a skeptical answer.

Novak Djokovic opens up about his desire for a Golden Slam this season
In a press conference ahead of the Australian Open, the ‘Djoker’ was recently asked if his ‘desire’ to win a Golden Slam this season has become much stronger since his arrival in his ‘favorite place’ Melbourne. The Serb, who has won 10 Australian Open titles, answered by talking about how he wants to win every major tournament that he participates in.
This new tennis season is no exception. Djokovic is planning to start his campaign in Australia on a high note, as he has in most of the past editions. He said, “My favorite place, no doubt. The court where I’ve done great things and achieved my greatest Grand Slam results.”Reflecting on his stellar performances throughout the 2023 Australian Open, the 36-year-old asserted that he wants to play on the same on-court levels, as that was one of the “best tennis levels” that he has ever played.

As he aims to perform at his optimum levels, Novak Djokovic went on to talk about his ‘big goals’ to win all four Grand Slams and the Olympic gold. He said, “Let’s see how it goes. I mean, the season is so long. We have an Olympic year. Grand Slams, Olympics—those are the big goals. I have to see how it goes here and think about everything else when it comes around the corner.”
