Jannik Sinner is currently on the radar of every tennis fan in the world. The Italian youngster managed to hit peak stardom after he won the Australian Open, beating Novak Djokovic on the way to the final. The player has impressed followers of the sport, including Redfoo, ex-husband of Victoria Azarenka, who believes him to be above Djokovic in one specific factor.

When Djokovic was a youngster and facing the greats of tennis, his mentality was touted to be above the rest. He showed it by being able to stage a comeback after many massive defeats. However, Redfoo believes Jannik Sinner to be above him.

Jannik Sinner managed to win the first major tournament he played this year as he lifted the Australian Open title. Redfoo has developed an immense liking for the Italian player. He firmly believes Sinner has overtaken the 24-time Grand Slam champion when it comes to mental resilience.

Redfoo said, “I like how he just couldn’t get past those semifinals a lot and then he just broke through mentally. Like he’s the most solid mental. No one knows how to crack him. I mean, Djokovic is solid, but Sinner is like a mystery to everybody. I feel he’s eating carrots and s**t, which is good because I’m vegan, so I get it. But everybody else is like, why is he eating a carrot? You know, a banana that’s normal. He’s doing it because he’s throwing ’em off.

Jannik Sinner had issues with his games in the last few years as he found it very difficult to go beyond the semifinals or the quarterfinals of many Grand Slam tournaments like Wimbledon, the French Open, and the US Open. However, that changed this year, which makes Redfoo further believe that Sinner is playing mind games.

Redfoo believes Jannik Sinner is playing mind games

The former ‘LMFAO’ singer further said that Sinner’s move of eating unusual mid-game snacks and having the Carota Boys as his fan group exhibits the kind of “mental games” he is playing. “He’s eating snap peas and s**t, and then he’s got a whole carota boys that follow him around, and his mascot is a damn carrot, and this is the type of mental games that people don’t understand he’s playing.”

While he believes Sinner has overtaken Djokovic in the mentality factor, he was most excited to attend the Indian Wells Masters to watch the ‘Serbinator’ play. However, the Djoker’s stint ended after a surprising defeat to Luca Nardi. Sinner, on the other hand, continues to play, and he even defeated Ben Shelton before advancing to the quarterfinals.
