World No. 1 Novak Djokovic has been one of the most dominating names in tennis over the past decade. He is a part of the “Big Three” in tennis along with Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal. However, he has been winning constantly and surpassing them in records in recent times.

Recently, there was a survey in which Djokovic moved over Federer and Nadal, in yet another incredible statistic. In this study, tennis players with the most consecutive seasons exceeding 80% effectiveness in official matches were considered and ranked.

Novak Djokovic is moving places 

In that category, it was the Serbian ace who surpassed the Swiss maestro and the Spanish star. Djokovic has managed to register 80% wins in a season on 11 occasions. Federer and Nadal have been able to do this for 10 seasons. Only Jimmy Connors exceeded the Serb in this statistic as he did it for 12 consecutive seasons.

Indeed, this statistic is an impressive feat, and this proves how much consistent Djokovic has been through his career.

It does not come as a surprise as Djokovic has been playing some of the best tennis in this decade. Speaking of his activities this season, he began by winning the Australian Open in Melbourne.

After the Australian Open, he reached the French capital and ended up winning Roland Garros for the second time in his career. In doing so, he is the only player from the modern era to win each Grand Slam event at least twice.

Following that, he won the Wimbledon Championships which put him at par with Federer and Nadal at 20 Majors each. Sadly, he could not win the US Open.

On the other hand, Federer and Nadal were both missing from all the action as they were dealing with their respective injuries. Therefore, it will be interesting to see how these two cope up with the flow of the World No. 1 player.
