Novak Djokovic has given his fans a reason to cheer up as he marked his knee test a success. “I was pain-free. It was a great test. Obviously, the best players in the world play a couple of practice sets in the last few days, and I wanted to come out here to test my knee to see how it feels. The test was very successful,” he shared during an on-court interview followed by a practice session that was meant to test his levels on grass.

This positive update comes after concerns about Djokovic’s participation in Wimbledon due to a surgery. The Serb suffered a torn medial meniscus during his fourth-round match at Roland Garros. As the general recovery span from such a procedure is about 3-4 weeks, fans were worried about his entry into the grass-court major.

Djokovic is currently in possession of seven Wimbledon titles and is now aiming for his eighth win. This would help him match Roger Federer’s record, adding another glorious record to his already glittering portfolio. Despite the injury scare, the Serb appears to be confident about his chances.

“I still feel hungry for success, for more Grand Slams, more achievements in tennis, he said in a recent interview with the Wimbledon media. As long as there’s that drive, I know that I’m able to compete at the highest level. This comment, besides being stuffed with confidence, also comes as a reassurance for his fans. Now that his chances for the upcoming event seem brighter, what does his path to the title look like?
