Additionally, it was their 19th encounter on the court, and the Serb now boasts an incredible H2H record of 19-0. In doing so, the ‘Djoker’ has broken the record of the most one-sided H2H against the same player, in the men’s circuit. Notably, after his recent victory against the former world No. 6, Djokovic was quick to apologize, though, in a ‘heartfelt yet hilarious’ manner.

Gael Monfils hails the ‘unapologetic’ gesture from Novak Djokovic

After getting outshined in straight sets and conceding a discouraging record, the French tennis star asked the ‘Djoker’ for his autograph. Gael Monfils eventually got his signature alongside an unapologetic message on the t-shirt that the Serb wore during their match. The message stated, “#19. 17.08.23. Sorry not sorry.”

In his ‘heartfelt yet hilarious’ gesture, Djokovic reminded Monfils about their massively one-sided, 19-0 H2H record. However, despite his opponent’s sheer dominance in their encounters on the court, the Frenchman hailed him as the “GOAT’.
