Novak Djokovic’s quirky comments have once again stirred up a storm on social media. But this time, it is not about his current matches. Rather, it is aimed at a Hollywood actor! Matthew McConaughey, a known tennis enthusiast, was innocently indulging in his love of the sport on social media. But the Serbinator’s snarky comment stole the spotlight!

With a racquet in hand, the Hollywood star posted a photo of himself on a tennis court captioned “Love this game.” The 24-Grand Slam Champion seized the opportunity and wrote, “Got any tips?” The funny exchange between the duo garnered a lot of attention from both the professional realms of tennis and acting. However, this is not the first time that Novak Djokovic has interacted with the actor.

McConaughey’s support for Djokovic at the 24th Grand Slam first revealed their special bond to fans. The actor and his wife’s attendance at the US Open to support Djokovic, sitting just behind his parents in their box, looked like McConaughey was celebrating just like his family. And what followed after his victory at the match was a warm embrace between Djokovic and McConaughey.

Quite interestingly, McConaughey’s passion for tennis is not new. He has previously admitted that he played tennis during his high school years and his love for the sport has grown stronger than ever as he frequently engages in tennis matches himself. And when it comes to Djokovic’s fun banter, it is also not new to his fans.

Novak Djokovic has become known by the endearing name “Djoker” among both colleagues and fans. This is mostly because of his impersonations of other tennis players and celebrities. Days before he played in his first US Open match in 2023, Djokovic played out impressions of well-known tennis players, igniting laughter in the crowd. He was practicing in front of a crowded house at Flushing Meadows, where he mimicked John McEnroe’s serves.

Adding a unique touch to his portrayal of the New Yorker, Novak Djokovic yelled, “You cannot be serious.” He also imitated his Wimbledon opponent, Nick Kyrgios’ body language and attitude. Later on, he mimicked Maria Sharapova’s serve routine and trademark grunt as well. Although, later in the tournament, he won his 24th Grand Slam against Daniil Medvedev, his impersonations remained a memorable moment in the US Open history.
