Novak Djokovic has achieved almost everything in tennis, but he is not satisfied yet. As the legend looks forward to the upcoming tennis season, his goals are focused more on the titles that he lacks so far. The world number one, while having enough grand slams to his portfolio, will now be looking forward to clinching victories at the clay court tournaments. While the legend stands with just 3 Roland Garros titles, his 2024 run, according to the tennis expert Gill Gross, is going to be focused on that.

Djokovic, already holding a remarkable record in all other feats, will be seeing the upcoming clay court season as a crucial moment in his career. Gross further added, “When it comes to motivation, when it comes to emptying the tank, mentally and physically, in terms of energy exertion, yeah, that’s gonna be the time of year where Novak is going to be wanting to be firing on all cylinders, no doubt about it. Particularly because of the Olympics.”

The aim of winning a fourth Roland Garros title, an Olympic Gold, and achieving a three-time Golden Masters at Monte Carlo seems to be the new desire for Djokovic’s motivation.

“I know myself perfectly, I don’t want to be arrogant, but I know that if I’m well physically and mentally, I’m able to do it. It also sounded unreal to win three Grand Slam titles this year. I would love to beat the record of titles won by Jimmy Connors.” While the legend shared his ambition to cross Jimmy Connors’ record, he mentioned that his progress is now aimed at creating a historical name that players in the upcoming generations would remember. While the Serbian tennis star runs for more titles, his dream to catch the number is quite obvious to be achieved soon.
