Former tennis star Boris Becker has cemented his name in the history of this sport. He was the youngest player to ever win the men’s single Wimbledon Championships as a teenager. He also had a successful spell in coaching Novak Djokovic

Coming back to Becker, his contribution to the game cannot be questioned. However, the recent developments could prove hazardous for the former World No. 1 player.

Novak Djokovic’s coach to face the fire today 

The tennis legend is on trial in London today. The German is said to have misused assets and is also in bankruptcy proceedings in his second home England. In the worst-case scenario, he may face up to seven years in prison.

Becker is said to have tried to withdraw money and valuables as well as real estate and around 20 charges on him; Including transferring money to his ex-wives. Also, not declaring ownership of property and did not hand over trophies he has won in his career.

Although, a large part of his trophy collection has been auctioned off. Boris denies these accusations and if found guilty, he could face up to 7 years in prison.

Reflecting on to tennis, Becker was one of the best serve and volley players. During his career, he has won 6 Grand Slam titles. He won three titles at the Wimbledon Championships, two at the Australian Open and one at the US Open. Sadly, he did not win the French Open but has been a three-time semifinalist. 

Coming on to his successful spell coaching 20-time Major winner Novak Djokovic, during his spell with the Serb, he transformed his game and helped him win six Grand Slam titles and 14 ATP Masters 1000 titles.
