For his no-vaccination stance, Novak Djokovic has often been a target of scrutiny from the public. Apart from being denied entry to the previous season’s Australian and US Opens, the Serb was also given the tag of ‘Novax’ by the media and public for refusing to take jabs. However, during a recent candid conversation, the 24-time singles Grand Slam champion has now come clean on his no-vaccination stance.

There have always been a lot of controversies and criticism surrounding Djokovic’s decision not to take a jab. But now that he has issued an honest take on his vaccination stance, the Serb’s fans have come forward to slam his naysayers for preaching a ‘false anti-vaccination narrative.’

In a recent conversation with the renowned tennis journalist Jon Wertheim, the 36-year-old player was asked to shed light on his decision not to take a jab. Wertheim posed the question,  “Correct me if I’m wrong, you were not against vaccination, you just did not want it for yourself.” Answering all the naysayers and critics, Djokovic came forward with an honest response as he made his ‘freedom to choose’ stance clear.

“I’m not anti-vax. Nor I am pro-vax. I’m pro-freedom to choose,” the Serb said. Taking note of his honest answer, a flurry of fans were singing the praise of the 24-time singles Grand Slam champion as they called him a ‘hero.’ In the comments section, one fan said, “Why can’t every athlete be like him? The rest of them don’t have the balls to stand up to the f*cking media. Djokovic is a hero!”

Meanwhile, a fan also slammed the media for preaching a ‘false narrative’ around the Serb’s no-vaccination choice. She commented, “✅ False anti-vaccination narrative addressed. I’m running down my list, media lie by media lie. Let’s go!”

A user slammed the media for showing the ‘Djoker’ in a negative light owing to his ‘freedom to choose’ stance. The fan said, “They took millions from him just because he stood up for freedom. He was willing to give up his entire career and never play tennis again. Very few demonstrated the courage this man did during the Covid hoax.”

A fan also questioned why the ‘Djoker’ wasn’t given a chance to speak on his vaccination decision back when he was being denied entry to tournaments.
