Recently, DeSantis tweeted a swipe at the Biden administration’s immigration and COVID-19 vaccination policies. The Governor of Florida went on to call on the president to lift his restrictions and allow Djokovic to compete in the US.

According to the New York Times, he argued about “President Biden’s misguided and unscientific COVID-19 vaccination requirement for foreign travelers.” He further explained that this was the main reason that has kept Nole from participating in the BNP Paribas Open and the Miami Open.

American senator tweets his opinions on the whole vaccination stance
Senators Rick Scott and Marco Rubio recently wrote a letter to President Biden requesting permission for Djokovic to enter the United States and participate in the Miami Open. They argued that since the government has declared the end of the pandemic scare, Djokovic deserves a chance to compete. However, the government denied Djokovic’s request.
