Spanish tennis star and four-time ATP Tournament singles winner Pablo Andujar finally announced his retirement after a decade-long professional career. Along with his fans, his colleague and tennis legend Rafael Nadal penned down a heartfelt message for the tennis player. From the French Open to the ATP Tournaments, Andujar faced off against Nadal many times. While the on-court rivalry gave fans cherished moments to witness historic tennis, these two players also share a deep respect for each other. Now following Nadal’s tribute, fans are quite sure of that.

Andujar will play his last match at the Faulcombridge Cup at Valencia Tennis Club. Since this was his debut ATP Cup match in 2002, the whole thing was truly an emotional moment for him. Now with Nadal’s message, Andujar’s fans are wiping tears but with many nostalgic memories of the player.

Spain’s tennis star Pablo Andujar announced retirement from tennis. Previously during the Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell, the Spaniard hinted to fans about soon putting an end to their professional tennis career. Now that it is finalized, Andujar shared an emotional post on his official Instagram platform, thanking all of his fans for their support throughout his journey. Andujar wrote- “despite not competing in the last few months, in two weeks I will be playing my last tournament as a professional tennis player. It’s been an extraordinary journey that I never imagined would end at 37 years old. On this occasion, and thanks to another invitation from CTV, I end this precious trip the way I always wanted, surrounded by my people.”

Alba’s message brought a glimpse of sadness on none other than Nadal’s face as well. He also shared an emotional tribute on his official Instagram story. He wrote- “See you Paul. Congratulations on your entire career and now enjoy your family and so many things in life.”  (Translation)

Now Nadal’s message surely showed fans that these tennis players share an amazing bond outside the on-court rivalry. This is surely something that gave fans a ray of sunshine to believe in good all over again. Goodbyes are a hard thing to accept, especially when it’s directly related to your favorite athletes.
