Novak Djokovic once again proved his worth by winning one more ATP title in his career. While the world is currently busy celebrating this tennis stalwart, Djokovic as usual surprised the fans by addressing his three young opponents with the most wonderful comment ever. Djokovic faced off against Italy’s tennis prodigy Jannik Sinner in the finals, whereas he defeated Alcaraz in the semi-finals and Rune during the group stage.

Djokovic’s performance truly stunned the tennis fraternity. Not to mention how impressed Holger Rune was to play against a maestro like Novak Djokovic. But Djokovic’s praise for his three young opponents truly showed that tennis is beyond any elitism; it is about showing skills and facing the ball on the court. Undoubtedly facing tennis players like Djokovic is not a mere thing! However, Jannik Sinner, Holder Rune, and Carlos Alcaraz proved it to be wrong. Apart from Sinner, the other two players didn’t stand a chance against the world’s number-one tennis star, they dropped a tremendously great fight against Djokovic. Now that even Djokovic is admitting the skills of these tennis stars, the truth is wide-open to the fans.

In a press conference, Djokovic said- “Carlos, Jannik, & Holger are the big three.. the next big three, if you want to call them. They are going to carry this sport.” Now receiving such a big complement from the Twenty-four times Grand Slam winner is not a small thing. This is so because none of these three players have crossed 30 and yet they are bombarded with compliments from veteran tennis players as well as stars like Djokovic.

Adding to his statement, Djokovic expressed something that truly made his fans more overwhelmed by this legend. He said- “ I will hang on for as long as I feel like hanging on, as long as I’m able to win against them on the big stage. Once they start to kick my butt, then I will consider probably having a little break or maybe a permanent break from professional tennis.”

Despite offering historic performances at the age of thirty-six, Djokovic didn’t spill anything about taking a retirement soon. However, he again gave a big stage to his three young opponents showing how generous he is as a senior player.
