Novak Djokovic has some of the most passionate fans in the world. Thus, whenever critics bash the Djoker for his performances or off-court activities, they always have his back. Along with his on-court performances, fans are always on the lookout for their favorite star’s fashion statements. To ensure his attire is up to his fans’ expectations, Lacoste designs outfits that will make him look dapper. However, the French clothing company cannot always hit the mark. Their recent attire for Novak Djokovic did not land well with fans as they lambasted the new designs left and right.
Apparel companies seem to be in a creative lock recently when it comes to designing the outfits of their players. Lacoste joined Adidas as both drew the ire of the fans, since they failed to create an outfit which is up to their previous designs.

Lacoste t-shirt for Novak Djokovic shot down by fans
Novak Djokovic needs to look his best as the tennis star is seen by millions worldwide, especially during tournaments. As Djokovic is set to miss the Shanghai Masters, Lacoste decided to take a step ahead and make an outfit for his future matches. But their attempt would fall flat as fans jeered at them for the color and design choices.

The combination of the t-shirt was red and purple, which became the focus of the criticisms of the followers of the sport.
One fan said it cannot happen because Djokovic does not wear red indoors.

The color of the shirt looked awful to one fan, and they further recommended that the colors should wear “Blue and white with little touch of red“.

Lacoste’s designs usually sell well as they have been in the field for long. But this current design missed the mark, and Lacoste joined Adidas in being criticized by fans of the player.

When Adidas got the ire of Jessica Pegula fans
Jessica Pegula recently played in the final of the Tokyo Open, which she unfortunately lost. But, in addition to her loss, fans were annoyed at the outfit her sponsor designed for her. The outfit, which consisted of two skirts, made Pegula look uncomfortable to fans. They laid bare their harsh criticism at the multi-billion dollar brand as they tore them apart for designing a subpar outfit.

Most fans called it ‘frumpy’, and many stated that Adidas fails at making athletes look great often. Now, it has become important for apparel brands to make attires that perform well and look well. The visual element of the player is another aspect that fans love, and tennis stars’ ardent fans do not enjoy when the brands fail to live up to the expectations.
