Roger Federer is arguably one of the greatest players to ever play tennis. He is solely responsible for inspiring an entire generation of tennis players. He has won a total of 103 ATP titles, which have helped solidify his name in the history of the sport. However, even after this achievement, Novak Djokovic outshines him when it comes to the percentage of titles won in comparison to matches played.

In fact, Djokovic outshines Federer in many statistics. The Serbian has won more slams than him and has earned more prize money on the court than the Swiss Maestro, despite having fewer overall titles.

Federer has 103 singles ATP titles, putting him second for an overall number of ATP titles, with Jimmy Connors at the top. Djokovic is in line after Federer with 98 singles titles. He is only five championships away from equaling Federer’s record. However, Djokovic has a higher win percentage than the 20-time grand slam champion in the sport.

An ‘X’ account which breaks down the math of tennis recently revealed that Djokovic has 33.7% of titles in the number of tournaments he has played, while Federer only has 28.1%.

The Djoker has broken past many of the records Federer has set and will aim to climb past any obstacles in his way. However, the question arises for many: does he want to be at the top of the ATP titles list?

Does the Djoker want to jump for the most ATP titles record?

Now that he has 24 grand slam titles and 40 Masters titles, the next step for him is to conquer the overall ATP titles record, which is held by Jimmy Connors. The American player sits at the top with a comfortable 109 singles titles, followed by Federer’s 103. The Serbinator himself has not shared any desire to break Connor’s record at the moment, but the American legend is all for it.

In the Advantage Connors podcast, he said that he is a true Djoker fan and would love it if Djokovic went for his record. With Connors’ blessing on his side, Djokovic will enter 2024 to go past Federer. If he decides to play in more tournaments, he will have a great chance of beating Connors’ record altogether.
