Having made an appearance in the finals previously, he would be looking to challenge for the title this year.

Talking about his love for the country, Stefanos Tsitsipas revealed why he enjoys playing so much in Australia. Not only this, he also suggested how the support that he got this year was by far the most wholesome.

He remembers one match against Italy as super exciting and unforgettable. Tsitsipas appreciates the passionate support, saying it’s been a fantastic experience playing in front of such enthusiastic fans. For him, Australia is extra special because of the strong Greek support, making his time on the court full of wonderful memories.

“I’ve had a lot of fun travelling around Australia and just seeing Greeks show up on courts everywhere. It just feels amazing to get that. This year in Sydney, I had probably one of the best Greek support that I have ever had in any tournament competition in my life. I’ve had an amazing atmosphere being built up during my match with Italy and it left me with some memorable, intense memories that live rent free inside my head and I’ve enjoyed every single minute of it on court. It’s been an absolute pleasure,” said Tsitsipas while talking about his love for the place.

Thus, Stefanos Tsitsipas, who will be looking to mark an emphatic comeback on his return to Australia talked about his love for the country.

While reflecting on his love for Australia, Tsitsipas further went ahead and revealed the challenges that the upcoming year will pose. Not only this, he also reflected his opinion on the rise of the younger generation and how they pose a challenge to him.

Talking about his return to Australia, Tsitsipas revealed the challenge that he will be facing this year. The Greek sensation suggested that this was one of the most challenging times of his career with the young guns coming in and putting in exceptional performances. Adding further to it, he suggested that it would not be easy to beat them so he will be looking to find ways to prove his worth in Australia.

“Right now, we have a lot of great players on the tour playing a lot of great tennis,” Tsitsipas said. “That is probably the most challenging period of my tennis career so far, to find ways to beat those guys, to find ways to pass them in the rankings.”

Thus, with the Australian Open looming over, he will be looking to make the most of his time in a country that has shown so much love to him. Not only this, he will also be looking to make an impact upon his arrival there.
