Three-time Grand Slam champion Andy Murray is stealing the show at Indian Wells Masters 2021 in the absence of the big three: Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic. Remarkably, he defeated US Open quarterfinalist Carlos Alcaraz 5-7, 6-3, 6-2 in the second round. And now, he has set up a match against 3rd seed and Olympic gold medalist Alexander Zverev, who is excited to play this one.
Notably, Murray is the only player from the big four who Zverev hasn’t defeated yet. Hence, he is aiming to register his maiden win over the Scot.

Like Murray, Zverev t00 had a young and inspired opponent in the second round. But despite losing the second set, he came through against Jenson Brooksby 6-4, 3-6, 6-1.
Undoubtedly, having a win against the big four of tennis is an achievement in itself. Although Zverev has covered the challenging part, he hasn’t been able to find his way against Murray.

Consequently, he is happy to see the 34-year-old across the net in the next round. “Very excited to play Murray. He is the only one of the Big Four I never beat,” Zverev said. Moreover, in their head-to-head so far, Murray is leading 2 for 0.
On the other side, the Scot is in the process of rebuilding his old form and find his footing on the Tour. Thus, even he would be excited to do well against the German sensation.
Earlier, Murray had come close to beating Stefanos Tsitsipas in the US Open 2021. But having failed to do so, he would be more eager to get a big Top 10 win finally to his name.
