Gina Carano, Monica Crowley, and others voice support for Novak Djokovic

Renowned personalities across the globe took to social media to react to Djokovic missing the last Grand Slam tournament of the season. American actor Gina Carano took to Twitter and said, “If all the tennis players boycotted the @usopen until @DjokerNole was permitted to play it would cause change.”

Moreover, she added, “The silence of our colleagues, countrymen, media, family & friends is what hurts the most. THIS ALL FALLS APART WHEN WE STAND TOGETHER. When will you have had enough?”

Further, the former United States Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for Public Affairs, Monica Crowley, also voiced a similar opinion. She said, “Hi @DjokerNole – on behalf of the American people, I’m sorry that our power-mad despots have denied you entry for the US Open based merely on their pathological desire for control.”

Additionally, U.S. Open tournament director Stacey Allaster voiced her disappointment in Djokovic not playing the US Open. She said, “Novak is a great champion and it is very unfortunate that he will be unable to compete at the 2022 US Open, as he is unable to enter the country due to the federal government’s vaccination policy for non-U.S. citizens.”

When will Djokovic make a comeback?

The former World Number 1 will likely participate in the Davis Cup in September. Serbia is in Group B of the Davis Cup Finals alongside Spain, Korea Republic, and Canada. The Group B ties will take place in Valencia, Spain.
