Nick Kyrgios decided to opt out of the French Open, but the Canberra-born star appears to be doing everything to make a comeback soon. He is preparing to recover from injuries physically, but also trying his best to ensure that his spirits don’t dampen.

The star recently lost his grandmother, a pillar of support. But Nick appears to be doing everything he can to reconstruct his emotional fortress. Dealing with back-to-back tournament withdrawals, injuries, and the loss of a loved one, Kyrgios took to Instagram to share how he feels. He shared a video of himself, which got his girlfriend’s response, that had some encouraging words to buttress his steel spirit.

The video clip, posted as a reel on his Instagram, starts with the text ‘Unbroken’. A rap beat in the background tries to give flavor to Kyrgios exploits on the court. The video features a clip of Kyrgios from his Wimbledon victory and Washington Open. In it, the 2022 Wimbledon finalist beats the opponent with speed and skill. It momentarily shows his girlfriend clapping and the audience exploding in jubilation.

There was a flood of encouraging words in the comments section. Some even expressing the desire for the former World No.13 to be back soon. The Greek girlfriend of the star, Costeen Hatzi, expressed her eagerness and encouragement in these words “Can’t wait to see you playing again”. A couple of heart emojis followed her words.

Kyrgios joins some big names in an unfortunate list

Nick Kyrgios joined the big names like Spanish legend Rafael Nadal and British tennis ace Andy Murray to miss the French Open due to injury. The 14 times French Open winner decided to pull out from the Roland Garros because he is planning to be as fit as possible to play in what could be his last year on the ATP Tour. Andy Murray too prioritized the Wimbledon Championships and withdrew from the French Open. Kyrgios, on the other hand, couldn’t participate in Australian Open in January due to the knee surgery.

Manager of the Australian tennis star, Daniel Horsfall had spoken to the media and said, “We are trying everything we can to have Nick ready on court as soon as possible.” The tennis star is trying to improve his physical fitness while also trying to heal his emotional wounds. The video shows how well the star is trying to be hopeful. And how caringly his girlfriend is soldiering to cultivate that hope and confidence.
