The Wimbledon Championship is almost here. Whenever a Grand Slam approaches, fans, experts, and everyone who loves the sport starts speculating about the most probable winners. Considering his stellar form of late, the name on everyone’s lips right now is Rafael Nadal.

The Spaniard has done amazingly well in the recently concluded clay season. Although, it’s a fact that Nadal has been always at his best on clay, what about his chances on Grass court? We will revisit to an old video to find out what Roger Federer thinks about the same.
Roger Federer on Rafael Nadal
While Nadal is the best ever clay court tennis player, Swiss legend Roger Federer thinks that his prowess on the other two courts is no less. In an old video that resurfaced on social media, Federer claims that, just because he is brilliant on clay, it doesn’t mean that he is not strong on hard and grass courts.
While some people still doubt how good Rafa really is all around and reduce him to “just because clay exists” in the year 2022, Roger was already very much done with this shit back in 2007…

“Nadal is very very strong. I mean, people are still underestimating him. I just can’t believe it, to be honest. Because on the grass he is very strong, on the hard court almost even stronger, and on clay the strongest. But strong means very strong, and not simply good. And that’s just what makes him special.” He said.

While Nadal is almost invincible on clay, he certainly is one of the best players at any given court, and given his current form, he will be a title contender if he participates in the Wimbledon this year.

Nadal in Wimbledon 2022?
While the 36-year-old has already specified that he won’t play with anesthetics again, his participation in Wimbledon boils down to the result of his latest treatment. After the French Open, the 22-time Grand Slam champion immediately went for his treatment in Barcelona.

Recently Rafael Nadal’s uncle, Toni Nadal, has shared some good news, as he said his nephew is feeling better now.
