During a question and answer session on Instagram, one of the fans asked Kyrgios, “Why do you think you need to be so cocky?” Replying to this question, he wrote, “People tend to confuse my confidence for arrogance because they have no idea what I’ve been through.”

Kyrgios suffers an untimely injury setback

In the ongoing Atlanta Open, Kyrgios suffered a knee injury. As a result, he pulled out of the singles competition at the Atlanta Open. However, he is playing in doubles and has teamed up with compatriot, Thanasi Kokkinakis. The duo is the second seed at the tournament and has reached the semifinals.

Talking about his latest injury setback, Kyrgios said, “I just want to say that I’m extremely shattered that I’m not able to compete tonight. I’ve won this tournament once and I’m playing some of the best tennis of my career.”

Kyrgios will hope that this injury does not affect his US Open participation. The last Grand Slam tournament of the season will take place later in August.
