After shooting the latest episode of Good Trouble, Kyrgios took to his Instagram account to share a part of the video that was emotional for Tiafoe, but at the same time, he prominently proved that he had come a long way. When asked about how he became one of the most popular tennis faces, the 26-year-old American tennis player stated, “People are laughing at us. “Oh this guy thinks he can be a pro,” or you know, “This guy’s playing with holes in his shoes.” I wanted to go one step further and take care of my family. That sentence right there changed my life.”

He opened up about how he started dreaming about playing tennis when he used to watch his father do maintenance work at clubs. Tiafoe also strongly recalled how people used to look him and his brother down regarding how they could even touch heights, just judging them the way they started. But then, he has laughed out loud and laughed at those people now, as they received an answer to all their unnecessary remarks about him.

When Tiafoe brought out the tennis reality

A few months ago, Frances Tiafoe shared a video on YouTube that brought attention to the difficulties that lower-ranked tennis players frequently encounter in trying to support themselves financially. “You’re either a tennis star or you’re starving,” he said, emphasizing the grim reality.

The widely held belief that all professional athletes have stable finances is refuted by this honest observation. Although well-known athletes like Roger Federer and Serena Williams manage to earn large sponsorship contracts and prize money, Tiafoe’s comments highlight the difficulties faced by other gifted players who are trying to establish a long-term career in tennis.
