Rafael Nadal has earned quite a reputation through his tennis career. The King of Clay has been the global ambassador of multi-national telecommunications company, ‘Telefonica’ since 2014. The Spaniard’s tennis academy recently posted a beautifully shot video on behalf of the company with Nadal’s gripping voice! 

The COVID pandemic caused turmoil throughout the world and several countries were forced into lockdown. Families and friends who lived apart could only stay connected via phone calls, be it video or voice. 

Telefonica is a Spanish company that provides massive connectivity and Rafael Nadal personally endorses their service. His academy posted a promotional video on Instagram as a promotional video for the network provider. 

“If you have a large network that connects you to life, things usually turn out well. Thanks to @telefonica for taking care of the networks so that we can connect with what really matters to you!” the post’s caption read. 

Furthermore, Rafael Nadal has provided his voice for the beautifully shot video. He narrates how proper connectivity is required now more than ever elegantly in Spanish. Here is an excerpt from his voice-over: 

“I have made my network stronger and more reliable than ever. The connection I’ve had during all this time with my family, with my friends, and with my team, has possibly even made me better. The thing is, if you have a great network that connected you to your life, things usually work out for the best.”

Rafael Nadal on facing Daniil Medvedev at ATP Finals 2020

Rafael Nadal scraped past the round-robin to reach the last four at ATP Finals 2020. Meanwhile, Daniil Medvedev won all his matches in straight sets to book his berth. It is no secret that Nadal struggles on indoor hard courts, and the Spainard has admitted to it. 

However, he still has to go through the challenge and he faces Medvedev in the semi-finals next. It will be a grueling encounter for both athletes, but the Russian is the favorite to emerge as the winner. 

Speaking about the upcoming match, Nadal said: “Yeah, I know it gonna be a tough one. I know I need to play at my highest level. If not, is almost impossible and I hope to be ready to make that happen.”

Nadal and Medvedev have faced off thrice in the past and the Spaniard enjoys a 100% win record. However, this will play a very little part when both athletes take centre court at the O2 Arena. Can Nadal muscle his way into the finals and end his title drought at the ATP Finals?
