Novak Djokovic, the Serbian tennis legend, has always been supportive of Serbian players. He himself has done a lot for the country in terms of sports. However, he never takes a back seat whenever cheering for fellow Serbians is the matter. Novak makes sure he takes every opportunity to uplift their spirits.

Recently, Novak shared an Instagram story celebrating the victory of Ivana Vuleta Španović, the Serbian long jumper. Ivan claimed a gold medal in the world indoor championship, Belgrade 2022. She ate the competition as she did a 706 cm jump, leaving no crumbs behind. Further, to showcase his utter respect for the player, he denoted her with the term kraljica. Kraljica is Serbian for the word queen.

He has proved in many incidents that he isn’t just a tennis person. Instead, he follows a variety of sports, especially the ones in which his people take part. Evidently, he is a basketball enthusiast as he attended one of the Euro leagues basketball matches.

Though he attended the match to support the Serbian team against Spanish, the man himself received a standing ovation from fans of both teams. All the cheering didn’t affect the fan inside him as he didn’t shy away from cheering his team.

Novak Djokovic has proved himself worthy of all the respect he gets multiple times. The Serbian, even though is not taking part in any of the tournaments currently, has done so much that he still is ranking at number one.

Further, Novak is one of the top three of the current generation alongside Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal and has also earned their respect as Federer said, “He can defend very well and be aggressive, he has a very good balance. That’s why he is one of the greatest players ever.”

“It has been a pleasure to play against him and he’s one of the players who have made me a better player. It’s great to have him in the game,” he added.

However, Novak has earned the title “legend” as he has 86 ATP singles titles and a record of 37 master’s events. He is the only player to complete a non-calender year Grand Slam in the open era. Adding to that, he is also the first man to achieve a double career grand slam.
