Google has released their most searches list, and tennis players have certainly made their presence known on the list of athletes. Notably, Rafael Nadal and Emma Raducanu have found their places in the top 10 of most searches athletes.
The 18-years-old Raducanu pulled off a phenomenal victory at the US Open 2021. Subsequently, tennis fans across the world are waiting for the Mallorcan to make his comeback on the tour after having an above-average season. The Spaniard missed out on triumphing at his favorite Grand Slam, the French Open 2021.

Emma Raducanu and Rafael Nadal among most searched athletes globally
Emma Raducanu did the unexpected at the US Open 2021. Coming from the qualifying rounds, Raducanu battled against all the odds to lift her maiden Grand Slam title. The Brit defeated the 19-years-old Leylah Fernandez in a thrilling final match of the tournament. En route to her title victory, she edged past fine players like Maria Sakkari, Belinda Bencic, and Shelby Rogers.

Following her victory, she came under the spotlight across the world. Recently, she found herself on the list of most searched athletes in 2021. Raducanu was the 4th most searched athlete on that list.
In addition, Rafael Nadal was also in 9th place on the trending list. Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal played one of the most intriguing matches of 2021 in the semi-finals of Roland Garros. Since August, the Spaniard has stayed away from professional tennis. However, he will soon be back on the tennis court at an exhibition match in Abu Dhabi.

The Brit has also established her name among the most searched people worldwide. Raducanu was in 7th place on the noteworthy list. It seems people are really impressed with the kind of game Raducanu displayed at the Flushing Meadows. However, since her historic performance at US Open, the Brit hasn’t quite been able to achieve anything of importance on the WTA Tour.
