Spanish tennis legend Rafael Nadal‘s uncle Tony Nadal dropped a surprising comment about the rivalry between his nephew and Swiss tennis maestro, Roger Federer. Tony Nadal has been an ardent supporter of the Nadal-Federer duo. Previously, during Federer’s retirement, this veteran coach commented how Federer’s partnership or rivalry with Nadal is different than Muhammad Ali and George Foreman’s rivalry.

Tony Nadal said- “The rivalry between Nadal and Federer is comparable to Messi and Ronaldo in terms of how they have endured over time, but has two differences: Between Messi and Cristiano, there is a greater difference than between Nadal and Federer, and the other difference is that Rafael can do all the things Federer can do, whereas Ronaldo cannot do everything that Messi does.”

With them, I have seen up close pure sport: a battle until the final breath without ever losing respect for their rival and, above all, the game. Also in the most incredible and tense matches, each one of them tried with their individual style to overcome the other with always the same spirit – no shortcuts, only tennis. It was not a simple rivalry, it was an example to admire.”
