Los Angeles’ newest restaurant is on its way. Beverly Hills, in LA, is a celebrity hangout spot and residential area. The new Spanish Tatel Restaurant is set to open and the concept behind it comes from three of the greatest athletes in the world. Rafael Nadal, Cristiano Ronaldo and Pau Gasol had initially planned the concept of the restaurant in 2017.

Rafael Nadal and the idea behind the restaurant

Rafael Nadal is a primary investor in the restaurant and is joined by his partners Manual Guallar and Abel Prats, who are the owners of Mabel Hospitality. The Tatel restaurant is a classic, celebrity restaurant, made for the big spenders. Tatel is very popular in Nadal’s hometown, Madrid, where it has done extremely well.

The restaurant will be serving classic Spanish dishes, with a modern touch by the chefs. It also plans on holding live music events every night, with the bar being in focus as well.

While the inauguration date for the restaurant has not been decided, as per reports it will open in July. The brand will provide stiff competition for big restaurants like Salt Bae, Catch, Olive, and others in LA.

Rafael Nadal has withdrawn from the Wimbledon Championships and the Tokyo Olympic Games following his semifinal loss to fierce rival Novak Djokovic at Roland Garros. He has taken this decision, keeping the well-being of his body and his age in mind. Hopefully, the Spaniard will be back in action soon, probably in August for the US Open.
