Entering the ATP 500 Acapulco as the 4th seed, Nadal cruised through the initial rounds, reaching the final without dropping a single set. On the other hand, the 6th seeded Cameron Norrie just dropped one set in the previous four rounds. Confident of their game, both the players kicked off the must anticipated finals of Acapulco.
The first set started with Norrie taking up service, as he went on to hold his first game smoothly. The same was followed by Rafa in his serve.
