In a recent Instagram revelation, Rafael Nadal got the chance to meet the ball girl who was there for him just months before he laid hands on his first-ever French Open title. The ball girl, who later went ahead to become one of the best dermatologists in Spain revealed the beautiful meet while reminiscing about the beautiful memories that they had during Rafa’s early days as a player.

Ball girl turned dermatologist meets Nadal

Spanish dermatologist Marta García-Legaz recently had a surprise encounter with tennis icon Rafael Nadal. The meet was a very special one for her because she was the one who served as a ball girl just months before Rafael Nadal laid his hands on his first ever prestigious Roland Garros.

García-Legaz’s Instagram story captured the moment, expressing her delight at crossing paths with the legendary Nadal. In the story that she posted, she had a special message for the 22-time grand slam winner. “What a surprise! More than 15 years ago I was his ball boy a few months before winning his first Roland Garros!” mentioned Marta Garcia after meeting Rafael Nadal.

The chance to be a ball boy for Nadal, who would go on to become one of the greatest tennis players in history, undoubtedly left a great mark on García-Legaz. Ever since then, Rafael Nadal has gone down to claim almost everything that tennis has seen.

Marta Garcia went to the Rafael Nadal Museum for dinner

In her stories, it was clearly visible that she first had the tour of the stadium where they looked at all of the accolades collected by Rafael Nadal throughout his time as a player. Later that evening, Rafael Nadal graced everyone with his presence.

That was the time when she got to meet with the Spanish giant who once brought havoc on the court. Thus, the meeting between the two was a very kind and nostalgic one. Having worked for Rafael Nadal during his early phase, she got a chance to witness the ups and downs of his career.
