Days after Nadal’s Australian Open withdrawal, luxury watch brand, Richard Mille, launched a new watch inspired by the Spanish tennis legend. Interestingly, the prized asset is dubbed ‘Baby Nadal’ and features a one-of-a-kind sports mode with a mammoth price tag. However, its intriguing details will leave you startled.

The Swiss watchmaker took three years to develop this masterpiece. ‘It possesses the possibility of varying the rotor geometry by themselves, and controlling the winding of the movement according to their lifestyle and sporting activities.’ Further, the luxury watch costs a whopping $238,000, being among one of the priciest watches in the world.
Nadal’s partnership with Richard Mille dates back to 2008. Since then, he has been often seen wearing a watch on the court. However, the Spanish tennis legend was once left devastated because of it.

When Nadal lost a Richard Mille watch
Richard Mille, who is the founder of the brand, once revealed how Nadal was dejected after losing the brand’s watch. The $500,000 worth model was stolen and Nadal felt guilt-ridden due to it. Mille later explained the situation.
Talking about it, Mille said, “He was devastated. But Nadal is so responsible and sensitive that he felt terrible.” However, the watch was later retrieved and Nadal was relieved. The Spaniard even texted Mille, expressing how happy he was after he got his watch.
