Spanish tennis star Rafael Nadal is having a wonderful 2022. He started the year with a brilliant come-from-behind win in the final of the Australian Open. Further, the 36-year-old reclaimed the French Open title from his rival Novak Djokovic. He was doing well in the Wimbledon Championships, too. However, an abdominal strain made the 22-time Grand Slam champion withdraw from the tournament.

After missing out on a chance of having a calendar, Grand Slam, the 36-year-old will hope to win the last major title of the year. Nadal has been spending some time off the court to recover from the injury. However, there’s good news, as the 22-time Grand Slam champion has made his way back to the court now.

In the latest video shared by the official account of Tennis France, the legend can be seen practicing on the indoor hard court.

The Spaniard will make a comeback to the tour with the Canadian open that will start in the first week of next month.
Nadal favorite to win the US Open as Djokovic is set to miss out
Just like the Australian Open earlier this year, the US Open would not allow unvaccinated overseas players. This means that the last year’s US Open finalist and Current Wimbledon champion Novak Djokovic will not participate in the tournament. In the Australian Open, Nadal grabbed the opportunity with both hands as he claimed his second Australian Open title.

Notably, three top players of the generation, Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, and Roger Federer, are in a constant race for most Grand Slam titles. They had 20 titles each at the end of the year 2020. However, Nadal went past the other two after claiming the first two Slams of the year.
