Moreover, people are taking to the streets to express their views regarding this matter. The latest superstar in line to break his silence in this regard is the Spanish great and 20-time Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal.

Rafael Nadal has his say on Novak Djokovic

The 13-time French Open champion did not agree with Djokovic’s act over the past few weeks. Further, he went on to say, “Novak Djokovic is one of the greatest players in the history of the sport, without a doubt.. But the Australian Open is more important than any one player (included himself and Federer in that response). I think it will be a great Australian Open with or without him.”

On his respect for Djokovic, the Spaniard said, “I respect him as a person, and as an athlete, without a doubt I respect a lot. I wish him all the best and I really respect him even if I don’t agree with a lot of things he did in the last few weeks.”

In a sensational turn of events, Alex Hawke, the Australian Immigration Minister, decided to cancel Novak Djokovic’s visa yesterday. The minister felt that Novak Djokovic’s presence at the Australian Open 2022 will lead to an ‘increase in civil unrest’.

Further, Djokovic can file an injunction to prevent his deportation. The other option left with the Serb is to accept the decision and return to his hometown.
