Pickleball picks up from where Tennis had left. This has been the story for most of the former tennis stars recently. They take up pickleball paddle as soon as they announce their retirement from racket sport. The 31-year-old American former tennis player, Jack Sock is no exception. Sock announced his retirement just after the US Open in August this year to pursue his career as a full-time pro on the PPA Tour.

Jack Sock had a remarkable career in tennis and had also featured in the Top 10 during his 12-year tenure as a professional tennis player. He has won a total of 4 singles titles and 17 doubles titles in his career. During this tenure, he has earned almost $11 M as prize money and now he’s poised to earn 6 figures annually from pickleball. Sock is now all set to begin his post-retirement life in Palm Springs. Jack Sock had some crazy rides in recent times. He initially had jumped off from tennis to win a gold medal at a pro pickleball event and then he came to tennis before announcing his retirement from the sport to pursue his newfound love. The former number 8 has been playing pickleball for almost 5 years but he devoted himself to the sport recently. He made his professional debut at the PPA North Carolina Open in May 2023 and then he partnered with the 16YO world no.1, Anna Leigh Waters to win a mixed doubled title. In August this year, Sock announced that he’s ready to play full-time on the PPA Tour.

Recently, Jack Sock yet again came to the news after the announcement of his participation in the Carvana PPA Tour. He will make his debut at the Hyundai Masters powered by Invited which would take place at Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage, CA from January 10 to January 14 next year. The former Olympics gold medalist has been enjoying his time post-retirement and recently he got to witness yet another moment of joy. What is it?

Sneak peek of the new addition to Jack Sock’s family

Jack Sock married the former Miss North Carolina, Laura Little in December 2020. In July 2023, they announced that they were expecting their first child to arrive in December this year. But the couple got the good news a month earlier than they had anticipated. Sock and Little announced the birth of their son Brody Bryan Sock on social media. Then they went on to post a cute Instagram post of the baby while he was sleeping, and immediately fans jumped on to express their love for the newborn.
